When it comes to website creation, you need to go for quality and not so much for who will let you make a website free.

It takes less the ten $1 bills a month to create a website that you can trust and that will last for years to come.
I Chose To Make A Website Free... Oops
I was so excited about making my first website. I found a free web host provider and I was excited about it. After I created my free website account, it took me about 15 minutes to figure out that I was totally confused and stuck, not knowing what to do next.
I search for a help button that would guide me. I soon found out that there was no customer support.
I got so frustrated, that I looked for another free web host provider so that I could make a website free again. Yes, again.
I created another free website. I was happy that I had free domain name and a free website owner. Boy, did I feel like I really had achieved something.
Once again, I believe it was the same day that I figured out that I was going to need to pay for the service that I was looking for.
Ever since I created my website with Homestead, I've been at peace. I have multiple websites hosted by Homestead, and I have never had one problem.
What You Need To Be Aware Of
I've made a list of things that you'll need to be aware of it you want to make a website free.
Free web host providers advertise that you'll get your own domain name, but this is not entirely true. They only allow you to choose a name that they will add to the name of their domain name. Example:
www.YourChoice.FreeWebHostProvider.com
This will not be your own domain name and you will not be able to use it when you choose to make a website with another web host provider, which is what you'll end up doing if you choose to make a website free.
No customer support. Most free web host providers don't offer support to you after you make a website. You're left to figure things out on your own.
You have a sense of comfort when you know that you have support available to you.
Have you visited a website and seen a white screen that read, "Try Again Later"? This mainly happens with free web host providers. They don't have 99.9% uptime. Their severs crash and your website pays the price.
You loose out on website visitors, customers and sales. This is a price you may have to pay if choose to make a website free.
Do you have time to waist? It is a high possibility that all your hard work will be in vain. Not only because you run the risk of the free web host provider packing and shutting down operations, but because after you've figured out on your own that it not going to work.
You'll have to start from scratch, like I did.
What is it that you want to do with your website? If you choose to make a website free, chances are that you wont have many options when it comes to adding features to your web pages.
A free web host provider may not allow you to add video, blogs, chat rooms and other great features offered when you make a website with a quality web host provider.
